BASIC THINGS TO KNOW
TYPES OF FOOD
These are the most common parts given to dogs.
MEAT (80-85%)
muscle meat, fat, connective tissue, skin, heart, lungs, uterus, gizzard, intestines, stomach, tripe, etc.
OTHER ORGANS (2.5-5%)
brain, spleen, liver, kidney, testicles, ovaries, pancreas, thymus (anything that secretes)
EDIBLE MEATY BONE (10-15%)
chicken leg quarter, chicken necks, drumsticks, turkey wings, necks and drumsticks, pork ribs, necks, tail, feet, whole rabbit with bones, lamb ribs and shanks, goat ribs, bone in pork shoulder, goat leg, deer neck, deer ribs, quail
LIVER (2.5-5%)
Well, there's no other type of liver. Just... liver.
WRECK BONES
These are too dense and hard for your dog to eat.
Bare bones with no meat in it like femur, knuckles, marrow bones,

THE NO-NO
COOKED BONES
These include dehydrated, smoked, boiled, grilled, or fried bones.
When cooked, bones become soft and brittle causing them to easily splinter.
This can wound the insides of your dog.
FRUITS AND VEGETABLESWe are focused on feeding our dogs as how nature designed them to eat. Their phsyical nature shows they are true carnivores. They (wolves and dogs) do not eat fruits and vegetables UNLESS the opportunity presents itself.
VITAMINS AND SUPPLEMENTS
Most dogs on a raw diet do not need vitamins and supplements. They're so healthy so they don't need it! But at times, fish oil, joint supplements, and vitamins are necessary if certain raw food ingredients are unavailable.
THE COMPUTATION
Yes, there's basic math involved ^_^
80% Muscle Meat
10% Bones
5% Liver
5% Other Organs
Step 1: What is your dog's Ideal Adult Weight?
Known Breed: Click HERE or HERE
Unknown Breed: Ask vet or support groups
Step 2: Percentage - Is your dog a small, medium, or large dog?
Helps us find out how much of the ideal percentage we will feed per day.
Step 3: Find out how much you'll feed per day.
Ideal Adult Weight (Step 1) x Percentage (Step 2) = Amount per day!
Here's an example ---->>>>>>>
Dog Name: Shpot
Breed: Beagle
Step 1: Find Shpot's Ideal Adult Weight
Answer: 13-16kgs (I chose 13 kgs)
Note: Convert kgs to pounds HERE
Step 2: Percentage - how much should I feed per day?
Beagles: Medium dog, not overweight, male, 2 yrs old
Percentage: 2-3% (I chose 3%) or 0.03
Step 3: Compute!
13kgs (Step 1) x 0.03 (Step 2) = 0.39kgs of food / day
Shpot will eat 0.39kgs of the raw diet per day~
Step 4: Find out how much meat, organs, and bones to feed everyday.
How much Muscle Meat?
80% = 0.80
Food/day (Step3) x 0.80 (Step4) = Meat/day!
How much Bones?
10% = 0.10
Food/day (Step3) x 0.10 (Step4) = Bones/day!
How much Liver?
5% = 0.05
Food/day (Step3) x 0.05 (Step4) = Liver/day!
How much Other Organs?
5% = 0.05
Food/day (Step3) x 0.05 (Step4) = Organs/day!
Here's an example ---->>>>>>>
Dog Name: Shpot
Breed: Beagle
How much Muscle Meat?
0.39 kgs (Step 3) x 0.80 = 0.31kgs
How much Bones?
0.39 kgs (Step 3) x 0.10 = 0.039 kgs or 0.04 kgs
How much Liver?
0.39 kgs (Step 3) x 0.05 = 0.0195 kgs or 0.0.02 kgs
How much Other Organs?
0.39 kgs (Step 3) x 0.05 = 0.0195kgs or 0.02 kgs
Shpot needs to eat 0.39 kgs of food per day
0.31 kgs is Muscle Meat
0.04 kgs is Bones
0.02 kgs is Liver
0.02 kgs is Other Organs
